In a report published by Citi, Douglas Emmett DEI presented at Citi's 2011 Global Property CEO Conference.
Citi said that DEI's CEO, Jordan Kaplan, commented that the company is within a few hundred basis points of operating in a landlord's market. “Debt refinancing, particularly 2012 maturities, has been a top priority of the company over last year. With approximately one-third complete today, the company continues to expect majority of refinancing to be done by end of second quarter at rates under 5%. As sellers continue to reemerge, particularly for office space, DEI looks to capitalize.”
Douglas Emmett closed yesterday at $18.13.
