3 Stocks For March Madness (CBS, PEP, NKE)

3 Stocks For March Madness (CBS, PEP, NKE) March Madness is fully upon us, and is down to the Sweet 16, which starts on Thursday. Here's a few stocks that will benefit in their earnings reports from March Madness. CBS Corporation CBS shares have benefited from the tournament, and will continue to benefit from the tournament, as long as ESPN DIS doesn't get their hands on it. Advertisers drool over all the eyeballs that watch the games on the various networks, and is one of the crown jewels of the company. Pepsi PEP is also likely to benefit from March Madness, as it owns Gatorade, the number 1 sports drink. It's on every sideline of every athletic event in America, and should continue to be for some time. Pepsi also has its namesake product, and Frito-Lay under its belt, and what's a better snack for a Thursday afternoon game then a glass of Diet Cherry Pepsi and some Doritos? Nike NKE is the last stock to benefit. The company recently reported earnings that fell short of Wall Street expectations, but Nike has generally found support around the $77 level, which is where it is now. Nike generally has the majority of the shoe deals for the colleges around the country, and should see an increase in merchandise sales from the tournament.
