Wal-Mart Stores Inc WMT shares are trading higher by $1.65 (2.3 percent) at $76.77 in Thursday's session.
Before the open, the company reported a mixed Q1 report that revealed an EPS beat of $0.04, but came up shy on sales by $200 million. The Street doesn't appear to phased by its slightly lower Q2 guidance.
After a higher, Wal-Mart's stock found resistance ahead of its after-hours high ($77.68) only reaching $77.29. Following a brief decline to $76.13, the issue trying to reenter the $77.00 handle.
It's now trading at levels not seen since May 19, 2015, when it peaked at 78.36.
