Top Narrow Based Indexes For March 24 (IMAX, MCP, DSCM)

By 10:30 am, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 32.55 points, or 0.27%, to 12,118.57, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had gained 3.29 points, or 0.25%. The NASDAQ composite index rose 12.10 points, or 0.45%. Some of the narrow based indexes that are driving the markets are Photographic Equipment Stocks, which have gained 6.1%, Rare Earth Stocks, up 3.1%, and Dotcom Retailer Stocks, moving 3.0% higher as a group. In Tickerspy's Photographic Equipment complex, Imax Corporation IMAX had surged 11.4%. IMAX announced its plans to open 75 new IMAX screens in Greater China in the next five years. The best performing Tickerspy %, Rare Earth stock has been Molycorp Inc MCP, which was up 5.3%. MCP had $316.43 million in total cash and $3.09 million in total debt for the recent quarter. Drugstore.com Inc DSCM is today's leading Tickerspy's Dotcom Retailer stock, gaining 112.3%. Walgreen Co WAG agreed to buy DSCM for around $429 million in cash. Read more from Benzinga's Markets.
