Middleburg Financial Corp. MBRG shares are plunging today, one day after traders speculated that the company might be the next Berkshire Hathaway that David Sokol was talking about.
At last check, shares were off $1.55 to $16.20, a loss of 8.7%.
Yesterday, Sokol had resigned from Berkshire Hathaway and said that he would like to start his own "mini-Berkshire."
Middleburg Financial Corporation, through its subsidiaries, provides banking, fiduciary, and investment management services to individuals and small businesses.
