Ford CEO Alan Mulally: "Most Important Thing Is That We Have The Cars People Want"

When asked if he thought there would be a time when someone wanted a Ford Motor Co. F vehicle but could not buy one, Alan Mulally told CNBC that the “most important thing is that we have the cars people want.” Ford's chief executive was also asked about the possibility of supply changes following the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. “First of all, it is a tremendously tragic situation,” he said. “We do not have disruption. We're managing this very carefully every day. So far, so good.” Mulally also said that we need a comprehensive energy plan. “Remember: four years ago we took a point of view that we'd all be paying more for energy,” he said.
