Three Stooges Movie Casting Begins here (AFL, BRK.A, BRK.B)

With a Three Stooges movie, directed by the Farrelly Brothers (Dumb & Dumber, Kingpin, There's Something About Mary, Shallow Hal) slated for a 2012 release, the rumors about casting are already gathering momentum. Here are Benzinga's suggestions, based on three men who could use the work: Larry - Gilbert Gottfried. Having been fired by Aflac AFL last month, Gottfried, with his distinctive squawk, is relying on bit-spots with Leno to pay the mortgage. Gottfried would surely embrace the opportunity to portray Larry on the big screen. He already has the goofy grin, and a wig will take care of the whacky hair. Curly - David Sokol. After resigning his executive post at Berkshire Hathaway BRKBRK amid allegations of insider trading, Sokol is most likely sat at home playing with his Wii right now. But with his suitably cropped hair, what better way to bring home the bacon than to play the part of Curly. His excuses upon resigning are evidence enough that he's a master of comedy. Moe - Charlie Sheen (who else?) Take a look - there's actually a strong resemblance between the Most Hated Man In Detroit (and that list include Kwame Kilpatrick) and Moe Howard. All Sheen would have to do is comb his hair down into a basin style. Whether his theater-filling ego would allow that indignity could be the deal-breaker. If you have any better Stooges-in-waiting, let us know.
