The Bon-Ton Stores March Sales Down 6.1%

The Bon-Ton Stores, Inc. BONT today announced comparable store sales for the five weeks ended April 2, 2011 decreased 6.1%. Total sales decreased 6.6% to $254.5 million for the five weeks compared with $272.4 million for the prior year period. Year-to-date comparable store sales decreased 3.7%. Year-to-date total sales decreased 4.3% to $452.2 million compared with $472.3 million for the same period last year.
