By 10:25 am, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 121.09 points, or 0.98%, to 12,260.02, while the broader Standard & Poor's 500 index had dropped 12.12 points, or 0.92%. The NASDAQ composite index fell 29.61 points, or 1.07%.
Some of the narrow based indexes that are still afloat in the markets are Hospital Stocks, which have gained 3.2%, Airline Stocks, up 1.9%, and Home Furnishing Retailer Stocks, moving 1.0% higher as a group.
In Tickerspy's Hospital complex, Community Health Systems Inc CYH had surged 14.2%. CYH shares have dipped 34.56% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 10.70% in the same period.
The best performing Tickerspy Airline stock has been China Southern Airlines Company ZNH, which was up 7.4%. ZNH's trailing-twelve-month ROE is 29.56%.
Haverty Furniture Companies Inc HVT is today's leading Tickerspy's Home Furnishing Retailer stock, gaining 2.0%. HVT shares have dropped 28.47% over the past 52 weeks, while the S&P 500 index has gained 10.70% in the same period.
