AquaKnox Closes in Atlanta - Analyst Blog
AquaKnox Restaurant, the dinner-only restaurant serving seafood and steaks, has recently closed its operations in Atlanta. The restaurant, spanning 13,000 square feet, was opened in Nov 2007 and was one of the several restaurants on the Terminus Building owned and operated by Cousins Properties Inc. (CUZ).
AquaKnox is a restaurant brand owned by E-Brands Restaurants LLC, a multi concept restaurant group which owns and operates 17 restaurants – 6 Timpano Chophouose and Martini Bars, 3 Samba Rooms, 1 Taqueria Canonita, 3 AquaKnox, 1 David Burke, 1 Salsa Orlando, 1 Paradiso 37 and 1 Canonita Express. The other AquaKnox restaurants are in Las Vegas and Tampa, Florida.
Cousins Properties acquires, finances, develops, manages and leases office, retail and industrial properties throughout the U.S., including Atlanta, Charlotte, Austin, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Washington DC. Cousins Properties also provides leasing and management services to third-party investors.
Cousins Properties has a diversified portfolio that mitigates operating risks associated with the economic down cycles. The portfolio of the company is primarily concentrated in high-growth Sun Belt markets, which due to its long-term demographic trends, should exhibit above-average job growth. Consequently, Cousins Properties is better equipped than its peers to withstand the challenges in the macroeconomic environment.
