GE shares gained 0.78% to $20.56 in after-hours trading. Apple Inc AAPL reported a 95% jump in its FQ2 earnings. The company reported net income at $5.99 billion, or $6.40 per share, up from $3.07 billion, or $3.33 per share, in the year-ago period. The company's revenue surged 83% to $24.67 billion. However, analysts expected earnings of $5.35 per share on revenue of $23.3 billion. Apple projects earnings of $5.03 per share on revenue of $23 billion for the June quarter. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $5.25 per share on revenue of $23.8 billion. AAPL shares surged 3.10% to $353.02 in the after-hours trading session. Analysts are expecting Morgan Stanley MS to have earned $0.34 per share on revenue of $7.89 billion in the first quarter. MS shares rose 0.96% to $26.29 in after-hours trading. Yum! Brands Inc YUM reported its Q1 profit at $264 million, or $0.54 per share, up from $241 million, or $0.50 per share, in the year-ago quarter. Excluding special items, the company's earnings came in at $0.63 per share. YUM's revenue increased 3% to $2.43 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.64 per share on revenue of $2.4 billion. YUM shares jumped 5.74% to $54.51 in the after-hours trading session.
