Caterpillar shares gained 1.57% to $113.35 in after-hours trading. Microsoft Corp MSFT reported its FQ4 profit at $5.87 billion, or $0.69 per share, up from $4.52 billion, or $0.51 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue rose 8% to $17.4 billion. Analysts were expecting earnings of $0.59 per share on revenue of $17.2 billion. MSFT shares fell 0.35% to $27.00 in the after-hours trading session. Analysts expect McDonald's Corp MCD to report its Q2 profit at $1.28 per share on revenue of $6.63 billion. Its same-store sales are likely to rise 4%. MCD shares rose 0.53% to $87.00 in after-hours trading. SanDisk Corp SNDK reported upbeat quarterly results. SanDisk reported its earnings at $248 million, or $1.02 per share, compared with $258 million, or $1.08 per share, in the year-ago quarter. On an adjusted basis, SNDK's earnings came in at $1.14 per share. Analysts were expecting earnings of $0.99 per share on revenue of $1.34 billion. SNDK shares surged 2.24% to $42.50 in the after-hours trading session. Analysts are expecting Reynolds American RAI to have earned $0.71 per share on revenue of $2.27 billion in the second quarter.
