Pros See Twitter's Momentum Prior To IPO

"Overall, the usage numbers look fantastic," said Hearsay Social CEO Clara Shih while discussing Twitter's IPO on CNBC this morning.  Shih and Magid Advisors president Mike Vorhaus both appeared on CNBC to weigh in on the Twitter's status and growth prior to their upcoming IPO.  "We've seen great results with both Facebook FB and LinkedIn LNKD over the medium, and I guess the long-run remains to be seen," said Shih when citing why Twitter will be a good stock to own.  "But social media is a fact of life and it's no longer optional. It's really become a core part of how businesses go to market."  Related: Options Outlook for the Week of November 4: Banks and Tech Not Moving Well Together According to Vorhaus, Twitter is gaining reach in every key area of digital content. "Twitter is growing, nicely we see, in our data in the United States. It's continuing to grow abroad. International growth is going to be hugely important, but what you got to remember about Twitter, and it's up to 41 percent now of American Internet users, is that it's right between this huge explosions in the digital world," said Vorhaus. "Because you have visual, you have photos, you have video, that's what people want. And then you have mobile. You have the tablet and the smartphone, and these two things together are very powerful, and it's very early in the days of the power of these forces."  Jason Cunningham had no position with the mentioned entities while writing this article.
