Stocks To Watch For July 7, 2014

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are: Tekmira Pharmaceuticals TKMR shares tumbled more than 15% on Thursday after the company revealed the Phase I trial of one of its lead drug candidates was put on hold by the FDA for safety concerns. Tekmira Pharma shares dipped 15.54% to close at $11.63 on Thursday. Wall Street expects Grupo Televisa, S.A.B. TV to post its Q2 earnings at $0.33 per share on revenue of $1.49 billion. Grupo Televisa shares gained 1.39% to close at $35.70 on Thursday. Shares of Lorillard LO surged over 5% on Thursday after talk on CNBC about its potential merger with Reynolds America RAI. According to CNBC, a merger announcement between Lorillard and Reynold American will be announced in the coming weeks. Lorillard shares gained 5.33% to close at $64.41 on Thursday. The Chicago Board Options Exchange will list options for GoPro starting GPRO Monday. GoPro shares fell 1.09% to close at $41.58 on Thursday. Shares of Lululemon Athletica LULU jumped around 3% on Thursday after Dow Jones reported that the company's founder Dennis Wilson, is exploring options , including a potential sale of the company to private equity. Lululemon shares climbed 2.90% to close at $42.60 on Thursday.
