  • Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN reported weaker-than-expected earnings for its third quarter on Thursday. Amazon.com shares dropped 5.66 percent to $772.00 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Alphabet Inc GOOGL reported stronger-than-expected results for its third quarter. The company also announced a $7 billion stock buyback plan. Alphabet shares gained 1.07 percent to $826.10 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Analysts expect Hershey Co HSY to report quarterly earnings at $1.19 per share on revenue of $2.00 billion before the opening bell. Hershey shares slipped 0.67 percent to close at $95.51 on Thursday.
  • Expedia Inc EXPE reported weaker-than-expected earnings for its third quarter, but sales exceeded expectations. Expedia shares rose 1.47 percent to $128.28 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Before the markets open, Chevron Corporation CVX is projected to report its quarterly earnings at $0.45 per share on revenue of $29.05 billion. Chevron shares gained 0.58 percent to $100.50 in after-hours trading.

  • Amgen Inc. AMGN reported upbeat earnings for the third quarter and lifted its profit guidance for 2016. Amgen shares slipped 1.41 percent to $158.30 in the after-hours trading session.

  • Wall Street expects Phillips 66 PSX to report quarterly earnings at $0.94 per share on revenue of $24.57 billion before the opening bell. Phillips 66 shares gained 0.23 percent to $80.17 in after-hours trading.
  • McKesson Corporation MCK reported downbeat earnings for its second quarter and lowered its FY17 earnings outlook. McKesson also reported a new $4 billion buyback plan. McKesson shares tumbled 12.15 percent to $141.00 in the after-hours trading session.
  • Before the opening bell, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd RCL is estimated to report its quarterly earnings at $3.13 per share on revenue of $2.58 billion. Royal Caribbean shares dropped 2.65 percent to close at $68.05 on Thursday.
