Stocks To Watch For April 6 (BBBY, AMSC, MON, CEPH, VRX, BLUD)

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are: Wall Street expects Bed Bath & Beyond Inc BBBY to report its FQ4 EPS at $0.97 on revenue of $2.39 billion. BBBY shares gained 0.96% to $49.37 in after-hours trading. American Superconductor Corp AMSC projects a loss and lower revenue for its fiscal fourth quarter and forecast lower-than-expected earnings for the full year. The company projects Q4 revenue to come in below $42 million and FY10 revenue to be below $355 million, down from its earlier forecast range of $430 million to $440 million for the fiscal year 2010. However, analysts projected a Q4 profit of $0.33 per share on revenue of $120.5 million and FY10 net income of $1.34 per share on revenue of $433.2 million. AMSC shares tumbled 40.35% to $14.84 in the after-hours trading session. Analysts expect Monsanto Company MON to report its FQ2 EPS at $1.85 on revenue of $4.15 billion. MON shares rose 1.15% to $74.45 in after-hours trading. Cephalon Inc CEPH reported that its board unanimously rejected an unsolicited, $5.7 billion offer from Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc VRX. "From the standpoint of the Cephalon shareholder, a transaction with Valeant at this time and at the price you proposed would mean forgoing the greater value obtainable from Cephalon's strategic plan, including the value inherent in our diversified and robust portfolio of marketed and pipeline products," Cephalon said. CEPH shares dropped 1.77% to $76.00 in the after-hours trading session, while VRX shares fell 0.91% to $53.47 in after-hours trading. Analysts are expecting Immucor Inc BLUD to have earned $0.27 per share on revenue of $79.73 million in the fiscal third quarter. BLUD shares gained 0.10% to close at $20.00 yesterday. Trading Ideas.
