Toronto-Dominion TD, Canada's second-largest bank, said it third-quarter profit jumped 29% to $1.12 billion, or $1.23 a share, from $868 million, or 96 cents a share a year earlier.
Toronto-Dominion attributed strength in its Canadian retail banking business for the profit. The bank is the sixth-largest in North America by total number of branches.
