Over the weekend, "Saturday Night Live" poked fun at billionaire Elon Musk and his zealous endorsement of President-elect Donald Trump ahead of the 2024 election.
What Happened: On the Nov. 9 episode — the first since Election Day — actor and former SNL cast member Dana Carvey mimicked how Musk jumped and danced at a Trump campaign stop.
The “Wayne’s World” star also made fun of Musk’s penchant for wearing a dark black MAGA (Make America Great Again) hat.
"Check it out, dark MAGA. Yeah! But seriously, I run the country now. America's gonna be like one of my rockets that's super cool and super fun. But there's a slight chance it could blow up, and everybody dies," Carvey said in the skit, as reported by Deadline.

Musk didn’t take the skit in jest.
"SNL has been dying slowly for years, as they become increasingly out of touch with reality,” he said.
Musk previously spoke out against the show for having Kamala Harris on an episode before the 2024 election, while not having Trump on an episode.
“Their last-ditch effort to cheat the equal airtime requirements and prop up Kamala before the election only helped sink her campaign further," Musk tweeted.
Musk also suggested that the show’s cold open was an indicator that the Comcast Corporation-owned CMCSA show is upset with the 2024 presidential election outcome.
"They are so mad that @realDonaldTrump won," Musk tweeted.

Why It Matters: Musk previously hosted an episode of SNL back in May 2021. The sketch-comedy show, now in its 50th season, faced backlash for inviting the Tesla CEO to host.
Critics, fans, and cast members alike took issue with Musk’s trollish social media presence and his downplaying of COVID-19.
During the episode, Musk famously mentioned Dogecoin DOGE/USD several times. Coincidentally, Dogecoin's all-time high of $0.7376 was reached on the day Musk appeared on SNL.
It looks doubtful Musk would ever come back to the program now.
SNL is not the only media entity drawing backlash from Musk in recent months. The billionaire often attacks the mainstream media for their alleged unfair portrayals of himself, Trump and other people.
Meanwhile, Carvey, while no longer a regular SNL cast member, won over fans with his recent portrayal of President Joe Biden this season. The actor has been known over the years for his political impersonations, which included the likes of Ross Perot and George Bush.
