Joe Biden and Donald Trump are the candidates likely to square off in the 2024 presidential election.
A controversial decision by the Colorado Supreme Court could see changes made to the state's ballot ahead of the 2024 election, and Biden is weighing in on the news.
What Happened: The Colorado Supreme Court ruled that Trump will not be on the state's 2024 election ballot ahead of the Republican primary election, a decision to which some Republican figures reacted by backing Trump and calling for an appeal.
The state's Supreme Court ruled that Trump violated the 14th Amendment, specifically a clause related to insurrection. The decision from the court relates to the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
The court ruled with a 4-3 majority with a statement saying that Trump’s actions were a "direct participation in the insurrection." The court cited Trump demanding that Vice President Mike Pence and members of Congress stop the counting of electoral votes and overturn the 2020 election results.
Colorado is the first state to remove Trump from the ballot, and other states have similar pending cases that could reach a similar outcome ahead of the 2024 election.

Biden's Reaction: While Biden wouldn't comment on the ruling by the Colorado Supreme Court, he was quick to point out there was "no question" Trump supported insurrection, according to a report from The Hill.
"Whether the 14th Amendment applies or not, we'll let the court make that decision," Biden told reporters Wednesday.
"But he certainly supported an insurrection. There's no question about it. None. Zero. And he seems to be doubling down on it."
