Diana Shipping Inc DSX announced its plans to spin off 80% of its present interest in its containership unit. DSX announced that the common stock of Diana Containerships is likely to start regular trading on NASDAQ under the symbol "DCIX" on January 19, 2011. DSX shares rose 0.17% to $12.10 in the after-hours trading session.
Shares of Sonic Solutions SNIC hit a 52-week high of $14.84 on Tuesday after the company reported that Sears Holding Co SHLD, which is using SNIC's RoxioNow movie service, has officially launched its online movie download service. SNIC shares fell 0.40% to $14.78 in after-hours trading, while SHLD shares moved up 2.34% to close at $70.02 yesterday.
Molycorp Inc MCP and Hitachi Metals Ltd signed a joint venture for the production of rare earth alloys and magnets in the US. MCP shares lost 0.41% to $45.99 in the after-hours trading session.
