Cannabis beverage producer Nevis Brands Inc. NEVI has secured an agreement with Silver State Wellness to produce and distribute Major to Nevada cannabis retailers.
Major is a dosable 100mg THC beverage that delivers the effects of cannabis within 10-20 minutes of consumption.
It will be available in five flavors, including Sunset Pink Lemonade, Pacific Blue Raspberry, Sacred Grape, Volcanic Orange Mango and Passionfruit.
"In less than 65 days since our acquisition of the Major brand, we have increased our market footprint by 20% in growing from 5 states to 6 states," John Kueber, the company's CEO, said.
What's Next
Major is being produced and will be available for sale in Nevada cannabis shops by September 30, 2023.
The trend of expansion into the beverage space is growing among cannabis companies, with Canadian cannabis giant Tilray Brands, Inc. TLRY being among the latest to make the move.
Last month, Tilray, led by CEO and chairman Irwin D. Simon, acquired the remaining 57.5% equity ownership of Truss Beverage Co. from beverage company Molson Coors TAP Canada.
