Benzinga’s Top Pre-Market Gainers (OVTI, SEED, VOD, AAPL, SOLF)

OmniVision Technologies Inc OVTI soared 10.04% to $20.05 in the pre-market session. OVTI’s Q4 revenue beat expectations and its Q1 revenue forecast was ahead of Wall Street expectations. Origin Agritech Ltd SEED added 3.46% to $8.37 in pre-market trading. Yesterday, SEED divested its 34% minority stake in Biocentury Transgene to an existing a private investor in Biocentury Transgene for 60 million RMB. Vodafone Group Plc VOD climbed 1.94% to $20.48 in the pre-market session. VOD had recently announced that its net profit for the year ended March 31 more than doubled to £8.65 billion, from £3.08 billion in the year ago period. The jump in profits was led by higher revenue and major cost cutting. Apple Inc AAPL moved up 1.91% to $258.20 in pre-market trading. AAPL’s iPad, the long-awaited tablet PC, made its international debut today. Solarfun Power Holdings Company Ltd SOLF gained 1.84% to $7.76 in the pre-market session.
