Benzinga’s Top Pre-Market Gainers (AMLN, GOLD, AAPL, QQQQ)

Amylin Pharmaceuticals Inc AMLN soared 9.33% to $18.05 in the pre-market session. AMLN announced today that it will be presenting data for two of its FDA-approved diabetes drugs and for its investigational diabetes treatment at the 70th Annual Scientific Sessions of the American Diabetes Association (ADA). Randgold Resources Ltd GOLD added 0.47% to $94.14 in pre-market trading. Yesterday, shares of GOLD traded near a new 52-week high of $93.76. Apple Inc AAPL moved up 0.42% to $273 in pre-market trading. Analysts at Kaufman Brothers upped their target price for AAPL today, from $320 to $340, while maintaining their “buy” rating on the stock. PowerShares QQQ Trust, Series 1 QQQQ gained 0.08% to $47 in the pre-market session. The ETF tracks the performance of the Nasdaq 100.
