US Stock Futures Point To Weak Opening

US stock futures slipped today and pointed to a weaker opening on Wall Street, as worries of slowing economic growth troubled investors. While futures on the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 48 points to 9634, those on the S&P 500 lost 5.7 to 1018.50. Meanwhile, Nasdaq 100 futures declined 8.25 points to 1726.25. While it’s a quiet day today on the economic front, it is pretty hectic on the corporate front. Stocks that will be in focus today are Microsoft Corp MSFT, Tesla Motors Inc TSLA, CRH PLC CRH and Marks & Spencer Group PLC MAKSY. While MSFT plans to cut its headcount this week, TSLA may see an increase in pressure, after falling below its original offering price yesterday. Poor results from CRH and MAKSY are pulling down the stocks. Overseas, European markets have opened weak and most Asian markets closed in the red. Read more from Benzinga's Markets.
