TriMas Corporation Blows By Estimates, Raises Guidance (TRS)

TriMas Corporation TRS reported 2Q EPS of $0.44, blowing by the Street consensus of $0.23. The company also raised full year EPS guidance to $0.90 to $1.00, up from $0.65 to $0.75. CEO Dave Wathen said, "We are very pleased with our performance during the second quarter. Successful execution of our productivity and growth initiatives, as well as an improving economic environment, resulted in encouraging increases in sales and profitability during the second quarter. As a leaner, faster organization, we were able to quickly respond and take advantage of rising customer demand, as well as to successfully leverage our lower cost position." Shares of TriMas are 5.37% in premarket trading.
