Presidential Debate Goes Interactive: Drinking Game, Bingo, Prediction Contest For 2024 Election Viewers At Home

Zinger Key Points
  • Viewers of the first 2024 presidential election have several ways to play games while watching.
  • A $10,000 sports betting contest, drinking game and bingo game are among the ways to liven up the debate.

The first 2024 presidential debate will not have a live audience and will include several changes from past debates.

While voters can't be in the audience live, they can watch the debate and participate in some games along the way.

What Happened: The first presidential debate will be hosted by CNN, which is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery WBD. The cable network will air coverage beginning at 9 p.m. ET Thursday with 90 minutes planned for the debate with two commercial breaks.

Donald Trump and Joe Biden are expected to share their thoughts and opinions on a number of key topics ahead of the 2024 election on Thursday night.

Given the amount of issues that could be covered and the potential sound bites, the New York Post has launched its versions of bingo and a drinking game tied to the first 2024 presidential debate.

Bingo Game: Up first is a bingo game that has a free space and numerous topics. Viewers will seek to get a bingo with five spaces covered in a row horizontally, vertically or diagonal.

The topics on the board include: Weaponization, Fani Willis, Israel, Mayorkas, critical race theory, capitol riot, woke, voter fraud, American dream, mugshot, fake news, DEI, indictment, rigged election, Ukraine, Bidenomics, Georgia, gas stoves, the middle class, Hillary, Biden crime family, Jack Smith, China and Taiwan.

The bingo card changes as you visit the site and the cards are also printable. This writer had a card that showed weaponization, capitol riot, fake news, Ukraine, and Hillary in a row and that would be our pick for a bingo from the board we got.

No prizes are awarded for a bingo, but viewers could get bragging rights or choose to play with friends to make things more competitive.

Drinking Game: The New York Post also shared a drinking game that could be played by viewers during the debate. (Note: this article shares the game for fun and does not recommend drinking alcohol in excess).

Here are the rules to the game:

Take a sip of water every time a candidate references the 2024 election being "the most important of our lifetime," "inflection point" or "not gonna have a country."

Take a sip of your favorite drink when the following happens:

  • The camera shows moderators Jake Tapper and Dana Bash
  • Every time Trump says "crooked" or Biden says "c'mon man"
  • A 3-letter acronym like FBI, IRS, DEI, SEC is said by a candidate
  • Trump mentions “migrant crime”
  • The border is mentioned by either candidate
  • When Trump mentions the "Biden crime family"

Take a shot when the following are said:

  • Biden uses "convicted felon" in reference to Trump
  • A candidate tries to interrupt the other candidate
  • A candidate wags their finger at the other candidate
  • Either candidate brings up the border
  • A candidate says they won't touch programs like Social Security and Medicare
  • When Russia is mentioned

Take two shots when the following happen:

  • Biden asks Trump and Republicans, "What are they for?"
  • Biden says he's "proud" of son Hunter Biden
  • If Trump calls Biden "sleepy"
  • Hunter Biden's laptop brought up

Chug your beer if the following happen:

  • If either candidate says the other should be in jail/prison
  • If either candidate looks like they're falling asleep

Finish all the liquor in your cabinet (Note: Again, not recommended)

  • If Trump and Biden actually agree on something

Participating in the New York Post presidential debate drinking game is not recommended. Please be mindful of your alcohol consumption and prioritize your health and safety.

DraftKings Prediction Contest: While the New York Post's bingo game and drinking game are just for fun, for bragging rights or to play with friends for prizes, sportsbook DraftKings Inc DKNG is offering a $10,000 prediction market for eligible users.

First place wins $500 and 1,690 total places will be paid at least $5 for the contest.

The prediction market asks users to predict who will get the first question in the debate and what topic the first question will cover.

The questions also cover which individuals like world leaders, other 2024 election candidates and other political leaders will be discussed by the candidates first.
