Live Cattle Futures Move Up

April live cattle is trading at 114.95, up 1.27 cents/lb. June live cattle is trading at 105.22, up 1.02 cents/lb Live cattle futures are trading choppy and near the session highs. Market chatter about consumer demand and cattle supplies ahead is making the rounds. Wednesday's USDA cattle slaughter was 109,000 head, the total for the week is now 337,000 head versus a year ago at 282,000 head.
