Live Cattle Futures Little Higher

April live cattle is trading at 113.55, up 0.30 cents/lb. June live cattle is trading at 104.27, up 0.12 cents/lb Live cattle futures are steady to higher just after the open. Thursday's USDA cattle slaughter was 96,000 head versus 108,000 head a year ago. The total cattle slaughter for the week is now 433,000 head versus 412,000 head a year ago. Cattle futures are closed Monday.
