Feds Widen Criminal Probe into Chipotle for Illegal Immigrants (CMG)

Chipotle CMG is under fire by U.S. federal officials for hiring illegal immigrants, the company announced Wednesday. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the U.S. Attorney's office for Washington, D.C. are both investigating. Former workers have told Reuters that Chipotle ignored signs that indicated the illegal status of some of its workers. Shares of the restaurant chain fell more than 3% in after-hours trading Wednesday, to $278.88. Chipotle Co-CEO Monty Moran reiterated that he was a member of a responsible company. "At the end of the day, the investigation will show that we're a good corporate actor," he said.
