Geron GERN shares gained 31.39% to $2.93 after the company announced the removal of full clinical hold on Imetelstat IND. Covance CVD shares surged 29.36% to $103.36 after Laboratory Corp of America Holdings LH announced its plans to acquire Covance for around $6.1 billion in cash and stock. Covance also reported in-line earnings for the third quarter. Arena Pharmaceuticals ARNA shares rose 3.21% to $4.50 in pre-market trading following Q3 results and corporate update.
