Economic Data Scheduled For Tuesday

  • Data on international trade for August will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. Analysts expect a deficit of $70.7 billion for total goods and services trade in August versus a $70.1 billion gap in July.
  • The Johnson Redbook Retail Sales Index for the latest week is scheduled for release at 8:55 a.m. ET.
  • US Services Purchasing Managers' Index for September will be released at 9:45 a.m. ET. The services PMI is expected to slow to 54.4 for September.
  • The ISM's services index for September is scheduled for release at 10:00 a.m. ET. The ISM’s index is expected to drop to 60.0 for September from August’s reading of 61.7.
  • Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond President Thomas Barkin is set to speak at 10:30 a.m. ET.
  • The Treasury is set to auction 52-week bills at 11:30 a.m. ET.
  • Federal Reserve Vice Chair Randal Quarles will speak at 1:15 p.m. ET.
