Billionaire Mark Cuban Throws Support Behind Joe Biden, Attends Dallas Fundraiser Following Nikki Haley's Defeat

Billionaire Mark Cuban has switched his allegiance to President Joe Biden for the 2024 presidential election. This decision comes after the withdrawal of his preferred candidate, Nikki Haley, from the race.

What Happened: Cuban, a well-known entrepreneur and investor, attended a fundraiser for President Biden in Dallas on Wednesday. He expressed his support for Biden, Fox Business reported.

At the fundraiser, Biden asked the attendees if they wanted to return to the time when “fear ruled our lives and Trump was president.” Cuban’s support for Biden was further solidified after he visited the White House earlier this month to participate in a roundtable discussion on controlling drug prices.

Despite concerns about Biden’s age, Cuban stated that he would vote for the president even on his deathbed.

This is not the first time Cuban has publicly supported Biden. In 2020, he voiced his support for Biden on “Hannity,” saying, “Donald Trump doesn’t want to run a country. He wants to run a campaign. Joe Biden actually wants to run a country.”

Why It Matters: This came after Cuban earlier publicly backed President Joe Biden for the 2024 elections. The billionaire also dismissed concerns about Biden's age. "If they were having his last wake, and it was him versus Trump, and he was being given last rites, I would still vote for Joe Biden,” he said.

Previously, Cuban had voted for Republican candidate Haley in the Texas GOP primary. However, after Haley suspended her campaign, Cuban has been vocal about his preference for Biden over former President Donald Trump, who is the presumptive GOP nominee for 2024.

According to Real Clear Politics, at the national level, Trump held 46.7% support among voters, While Biden trailed with 44.7% support.
