Trump Slams Fox News Following Latest Poll Results: 'Always Worst For Me'

Zinger Key Points
  • Trump criticized Fox News for showing him trailing behind Biden in new polls.
  • Ex-president demands for Paul Ryan's removal from Fox board, following network's unfavorable poll results.

In a recent public outburst, Donald Trump, the anticipated Republican presidential candidate, took a swipe at Fox News, following a poll that placed him behind President Joe Biden.

What Happened: On Thursday, Trump aired his grievances on the social media platform Truth Social after a Fox News poll showed Biden leading by two points, 50% to 48%.

This result contrasts with last month’s poll, which had Trump leading by one point.

“FoxNews Polls are always the worst for me. They have been from the beginning, and always will be!” Trump vented on Truth Social.

Trump’s displeasure with Fox News has been increasingly apparent. On Wednesday, he lambasted the network and demanded the removal of Paul Ryan from its board of directors.

“Nobody can ever trust Fox News, and I am one of them, with the weak and ineffective RINO, Paul Ryan, on its Board of Directors,” Trump posted.

Trump’s response to the poll results is noteworthy, given Fox News’s history of Republican bias and its steadfast support for Trump, particularly in the upcoming election.

His critique of the network might not work in his favor, however, as a recent Politico poll indicated that his felony conviction has adversely affected Americans’ propensity to vote for him.

Why It Matters: Trump’s lead over Biden in a recent Reuters/Ipsos poll was notable, despite his legal challenges. The poll showed Trump ahead of Biden by 2 points, a significant change from an earlier poll in June.

Moreover, a co/efficient poll revealed a tie between Biden and Trump in Virginia, a traditionally Democratic state. This marks a significant shift from the 2020 election results, where Biden won the state with 54.15% of the vote.

These fluctuations in poll results and Trump’s public criticism of Fox News highlight the volatility and uncertainty of the upcoming election.
