ASML Reports Q2 Results, Joins Spirit Airlines And Other Big Stocks Moving Lower In Wednesday's Pre-Market Session

U.S. stock futures were lower this morning, with the Nasdaq futures falling around 300 points on Wednesday.

Shares of ASML Holding N.V.  ASML fell in today's pre-market trading following the release of second-quarter results.

The Dutch company reported a second-quarter net income of 1.6 billion euros ($1.75 billion) on revenues of 6.2 billion euros ($6.77 billion), surpassing analysts' expectations of 1.41 billion euros on revenue of 6.04 billion euros, Reuters reported on Wednesday. The new bookings for the quarter stood at 5.6 billion euros ($6.11 billion), a significant increase from the 3.6 billion euros in the first quarter of 2024.

ASML shares dipped 6.8% to $995.90 in the pre-market trading session.

  • Cassava Sciences, Inc. SAVA shares dipped 26.5% to $9.95 in pre-market trading after announcing changes in executive leadership. The company named Rick Barry as Executive Chairman and Principal Executive Office and said Remi Barbier resigned as President, CEO, and Board Member.
  • Logistic Properties of the Americas LPA shares tumbled 15.2% to $22.04 in pre-market trading after jumping 69% on Tuesday.
  • Five Below, Inc. FIVE shares dipped 14.7% to $87.00 in pre-market trading after the company announced a CEO transition. Additionally, comparable sales decreased in the 10-week period ended July 13.
  • Structure Therapeutics Inc. GPCR fell 11% to $39.75 in pre-market trading.
  • Cerus Corporation CERS shares declined 8.4% to $2.19 in pre-market trading. On July 2, Cerus announced the appointment of Dean Gregory to its Board of Directors.
  • Clean Energy Fuels Corp. CLNE shares fell 8% to $2.53 in pre-market trading. Clean Energy Fuels is expected to release financial results for the second quarter on Aug. 7, after the closing bell.
  • Hyliion Holdings Corp. HYLN shares declined 6.2% to $2.26 in pre-market trading.
  • Spirit Airlines, Inc. SAVE shares declined 5.7% to $2.98 in pre-market trading as the company issued soft second-quarter preliminary revenue estimates. The company estimated total revenue for the second quarter of 2024 to be approximately $1.28 billion, lower than previously expected primarily due to lower-than-expected non-ticket revenue.
  • Amkor Technology, Inc. AMKR shares fell 5.2% to $42.34 in pre-market trading. Amkor Technology is expected to issue its financial results for the second quarter after the closing bell on Monday, July 29.
  • Applied Materials, Inc. AMAT shares fell 3.9% to $236.30 in pre-market trading.
