Stocks To Watch For December 31 (BH, FMMH, PIR, SIAL, BGP, JTX, WMT)

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are: Biglari Holdings Inc BH raised its offer to purchase all the outstanding shares of Fremont Michigan InsuraCorp Inc FMMH to $31 per share in cash. BH shares fell 0.44% to close at $420.25 yesterday, while FMMH shares lost 1.89% to close at $26.00 yesterday. Pier 1 Imports Inc PIR revised its contract with Chase Bank USA, N.A., replacing their marketing and servicing agreement for the operation of the PIR private-label credit card. PIR will receive an undisclosed lump sum this month from Chase and will continue to receive ongoing payments based on credit card sales. PIR shares gained 0.27% to $10.67 in after-hours trading. Sigma-Aldrich Corp SIAL purchased all the outstanding shares of Cerilliant Corp of Round Rock for strengthening the company's analytical chemistry product portfolio. The company has not disclosed the terms of the deal yet. SIAL shares moved down 0.64% to close at $66.80 yesterday. Borders Group BGP reported that it has delayed payments to some of its publishers while working to refinance its debt. BGP shares dipped 12.93% to $1.01 in the after-hours trading session. Jackson Hewitt Tax Service JTX announced its plans to operate in 10% more Walmart stores WMT in the US during coming year's tax season. JTX reported that it will operate in more than 2,000 Walmart stores in 2011 tax season. JTX shares fell 1.76% to $2.23 in after-hours trading, while WMT shares moved down 0.02% to close at $54.07 yesterday. Trading Ideas.
