The company's revenue surged to $6.68 billion from $6.32 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.56 per share on revenue of $6.48 billion.
Kellogg Co K reported its Q1 profit at $366 million, or $1 per share, from $418 million, or $1.09 per share, in the year-earlier period. The company's sales surged 5% to $3.49 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.04 per share on revenue of $3.39 billion. Excluding foreign exchange impact, Kellogg still projects full-year earnings of $3.33 to $3.40 per share, versus analysts' estimates of $3.48 per share.
Marsh & McLennan Companies Inc MMC reported a 31% rise in its first-quarter profit. The company reported its quarterly profit at $325 million, or $0.58 per share, up from $248 million, or $0.45 per share, in the year-earlier period. The company's adjusted earnings came in at $0.56 per share. The company's revenue surged to $2.88 billion from $2.64 billion. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.56 per share on revenue of $2.81 billion.
Anheuser-Busch InBev SA BUD reported a two-fold rise in its first-quarter net income. The company's adjusted net income surged 30%. The company reported its quarterly profit at $964 million, or $0.61 per share, up from $475 million, or $0.30 per share, in the year-ago quarter. The company's adjusted profit increased to $1.16 billion, or $0.73 per share, from $891 million, or $0.56 per share, in the year-earlier period. The company's revenue came in at $9 billion, versus $8.33 billion. BUD's adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization increased 6.5% to $3.41 billion. However, analysts were expecting EBITDA of $3.4 billion on revenue of $8.87 billion. Anheuser-Busch InBev sold 91.45 million hectoliters in he first quarter. The company's revenue per hectoliter increased 6.1%.
R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co RRD reported a 30% decline in its first-quarter net profit. The company also announced a $1 billion share repurchase program. The company's quarterly profit declined to $34.3 million, or $0.16 per share, from $48.7 million, or $0.25 per share, in the year-earlier period. The company's adjusted earnings per share came in at $0.33 per share. The company's revenue increased 4.4% to $2.27 billion. However, analysts were expecting adjusted earnings of $0.37 per share on revenue of $2.58 billion. The group named Daniel Leib as its new chief financial officer.
BNP Paribas SA BNPQY reported a 15% surge in its first-quarter net profit. The company's Q1 profit increased to 2.62 billion euros, from €2.28 billion, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting a profit of €2.25 billion. The company's total revenue increased 1.3% to €11.69 billion.
AOL Inc AOL reported its Q1 profit at $4.7 million, or $0.04 per share, down from $34.7 million, or $0.32 per share, in the year-earlier period. The company's revenue dropped 17% to $551.4 million.
Lamar Advertising Company LAMR reported its net revenue of $255.2 million for the first quarter of 2011 versus $244.1 million for the first quarter of 2010, a 4.5% increase. Operating income for the first quarter of 2011 was $25.6 million as compared to $10.8 million for the same period in 2010. There was a net loss of $13.2 million for the first quarter of 2011 compared to a net loss of $24.8 million for the first quarter of 2010.

Agrium AGU reported its Q1 EPS at $1.09, versus the estimates of $0.91.AGU reported its revenue at $2.95 billion, versus the estimates of $2.33 billion.
Statoil ASA STO reported its Q1 net profit at NOK15.98 billion ($3.02 billion), versus NOK11.11 billion, in the year-ago quarter. However, analysts were expecting a profit of NOK14.02 billion. Statoil reported its total oil and gas production at 1.765 billion barrels of oil equivalents a day. The company's total equity production dropped 6% from the first quarter of 2010. The company's revenue surged to NOK145.65 billion, from NOK128.7 billion, in the year-earlier quarter. Statoil's Q1 net operating income came in at NOK50.72 billion, versus NOK39.58 billion a year ago and versus estimates of NOK47.96 billion.
Clean Harbors CLH reported its quarterly EPS at $0.86, versus the estimates of $0.65. CLH reported its revenue at $435 million, versus the estimates of $385.52 million.
FTI Consulting FCN reported its quarterly EPS at $0.48, versus the estimates of $0.49. FCN reported its revenue at $361.8 million, versus the estimates of $353.94 million.
Nu Skin Enterprises NUS reported its quarterly EPS at $0.56, versus the estimates of $0.52. NUS reported its revenue at $395.8 million, versus the estimates of $391 million.
