Lockheed Martin Corp LMT reported a 10% decline in its Q2 profit. Ford's quarterly net income dropped 8% y/y to $2.4 billion, or $0.59 per share, from $2.6 billion, or $0.61 per share. Excluding one-time items, Ford's profit came in at $0.65 per share. Its revenue climbed 13% to $35.5 billion. Analysts were expecting earnings of $0.60 per share on revenue of $31.59 billion. Hershey Co HSY reported a strong rise in its Q2 profit. Hershey's quarterly profit surged to $130 million, or $0.56 per share, from $46.7 million, or $0.20 per share, in the year-earlier period. The company's revenue rose to $1.33 billion from $1.23 billion. Analysts were expecting earnings of $0.55 per share on revenue of $1.29 billion. Hershey now projects its 2011 earnings per share to rise by 10%. RadioShack Corp RSH reported a decline in its second-quarter profit. Analysts were expecting earnings of $2.18 per share on revenue of $5.88 billion. UBS AG UBS reported downbeat Q2 profit on Tuesday. Valero Energy Corp VLO reported a rise in its second-quarter net income. Valero's quarterly net income surged to $744 million, or $1.30 per share, from $583 million, or $1.03 per share, in the year-earlier period. Income from continuing operations gained to $1.30 per share from $0.92 per share. Valero's operating income increased to $1.3 billion from $904 million. Valero's revenue climbed to $31.3 billion from $20.6 billion. Analysts were expecting earnings of $1.45 per share on revenue of $29.1 billion. Cummins Inc CMI reported a strong rise in its fiscal second-quarter earnings. Cummins reported its quarterly earnings at $505 million, or $2.60 per share, up from $246 million, or $1.25 per share, in the year-earlier period. Its total revenue surged 45% y/y to $4.64 billion. Excluding some gains, the company's earnings came in at $2.41 per share. Analysts were expecting earnings of $2.01 per share on revenue of $4.26 billion.
