Exxon Mobil Corp XOM reported a 41% rise in its second-quarter profit.
Exxon reported its quarterly earnings at $10.68 billion, or $2.18 per share, up from $7.56 billion, or $1.60 per share, in the year-earlier period. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $2.30 per share.
Exxon shares dropped 1.56% to $82.01 in pre-market trading.
