Stocks To Watch For September 3, 2013

Some of the stocks that may grab investor focus today are: Microsoft MSFT announced its plans to buy Nokia's NOK cellphone business for 5.44 billion euros ($7.2 billion). Microsoft shares gained 0.24% to $33.48 in after-hours trading, while Nokia shares declined 0.26% to $3.89 in the after-hours trading session. Wall Street expects Matrix Service Company MTRX to post its Q4 earnings at $0.26 per share on revenue of $226.63 million. Matrix Service shares declined 0.01% to $15.59 in after-hours trading. Verizon Communications VZ agreed to buy Vodafone Group's VOD 45% stake in Verizon Wireless for $130 billion deal. Verizon shares gained 0.21% to $47.48 in after-hours trading, while Vodafone shares rose 0.15% to $32.40 in the after-hours trading session. Analysts expect Guidewire Software GWRE to post its Q4 earnings at $0.14 per share on revenue of $93.10 million. Guidewire Software shares fell 0.56% to close at $45.96 on Friday. Micrel MCRL agreed to buy the business of Discera. Micrel shares fell 0.06% to $9.19 in after-hours trading.
