Fastenal shares rose 2.68% to $45.90 in after-hours trading. Family Dollar Stores FDO reported downbeat fourth-quarter earnings. The company is set to be acquired for $74.50 per share by Dollar Tree DLTR. Family Dollar shares fell 0.71% to $77.20 in the after-hours trading session. Analysts expect Progressive PGR to report its Q3 earnings at $0.44 per share on revenue of $4.70 billion. Progressive shares climbed 2.02% to $25.78 in after-hours trading. Symantec SYMC said it is breaking into two companies. The company will separate its security and information management (IM) businesses. Symantec shares rose 0.26% to $23.50 in the after-hours trading session. Microchip Technology MCHP lowered its sales forecast for the second quarter. Microchip Technology shares slipped 8.32% to $41.75 in the after-hours trading session.
