Stocks To Watch For September 4, 2012

Smithfield shares gained 0.67% to $19.45 in after-hours trading. General Motors GM is expected to report its sales figures for August. According to Truecar.com, GM is likely to post 4% rise in vehicle sales. GM shares fell 0.13% to $21.32 in the after-hours trading session. Valeant Pharmaceuticals International VRX announced its plans to acquire Medicis Pharmaceutical MRX for $2.6 billion in cash. Valeant shares gained 0.16% to close at $51.27 on Friday, while Medicis shares dropped 0.97% to close at $31.56 on Friday. Ford F is projected to report sales figures for August. According to Truecar.com, Ford is expected to post 10% growth in vehicle sales. Ford shares gained 0.11% to $9.35 in the after-hours trading session. Analysts expect Campbell Soup Co CPB to report its Q4 earnings at $0.39 per share on revenue of $1.59 billion. Campbell shares declined 0.11% to $35.10 in after-hours trading.
