State Investors Bancorp shares climbed 24.15% to $19.07 in the after-hours trading session, while First NBC Bank shares slipped 0.23% to close at $34.92 yesterday. Douglas Emmett, Inc. DEI reported that it has acquired Honolulu multifamily property Waena Apartments for a purchase price of $146 million. Douglas Emmett shares gained 0.10% to close at $28.77 yesterday. Handy & Harman Ltd. HNH reported that it has submitted a proposal to acquire JPS Industries, Inc. JPST for $10.00 per share in cash. JPS Industries shares surged 20.64% to $9.00 in after-hours trading, while Handy & Harman shares rose 1.39% to $46.85 in the after-hours trading session.
