- StemCells Inc STEM shares fell 29.2 percent to $1.84 in pre-market trading as the company reported that it will accept warrant exercises from holders to purchase common stock issued on April 29, 2015 at a reduced exercise price of $1.10 per share. StemCells shares jumped 598.55 percent on Tuesday.
- Cree, Inc. CREE shares fell 9.4 percent to $24.90 in pre-market trading as the company reported downbeat earnings for its fourth quarter and issued a weak forecast for the current quarter.

- Staples, Inc. SPLS shares fell 3.5 percent to $9.00 in pre-market trading. Staples reported in-line earnings for its second quarter, but issued a disappointing earnings forecast for the current quarter.
- Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Inc PLKI shares fell 2.5 percent to $57.02 in pre-market trading. Popeyes posted in-line earnings for its second quarter, but sales missed analysts’ estimates. Popeye's also lowered FY 2016 system-wide same-store sales growth from a range of 2-3 percent down to 1-2 percent.
- ASML Holding NV (ADR) ASML fell 2.3 percent to $105.45 in pre-market trading. Bank of America downgraded ASML Holding from Buy to Neutral.
- Southern Co SO shares fell 2.2 percent to $49.87 in pre-market trading. Southern Company priced offering of 32.5 million shares of common stock for gross proceeds of around $1.6 billion.
