Shares of software companies are trading lower amid overall market weakness on US consumer and economic concerns.

BlackBerry Limited (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/BB#NYSE">BB</a>) shares are trading higher on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the company&#8217;s QNX disclosed a multi-year <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/02/ac43646918/qnx-joins-forces-with-pi-square-technologies-to-train-thousands-of-engineers-across-india-as-part" rel="noreferrer noopener">initiative with Pi Square Technologies.</a>
The deal entails training thousands of software engineers across India to meet the rising global demand for skilled embedded systems developers.
As part of QNX&#8217;s expanded QNX Everywhere initiative, the program will provide free access to the QNX Software Development Platform (SDP) 8.0, equipping engineers with the foundational skills needed for success in the embedded systems industry.
As a QNX Value Added Integrator (VAI), Pi Square will collaborate with academic institutions across India to integrate QNX&#8217;s tools and technologies into the engineering curriculum, equipping students with industry-ready embedded systems skills.
Raj Jain, Vice President, QNX Engineering and Head of R&amp;D Hyderabad, said, &#8220;India is teeming with ambitious, talented embedded engineers and this initiative underscores our commitment to ensuring they&#8217;re equipped to make a significant impact from the very first day of their working careers, whether at an automaker or aerospace company.&#8221;
Srinivasa Raju, CEO at Pi Square Technologies, added, &#8220;This initiative aligns with our vision to enhance technical capabilities in India, where the demand for skilled embedded software engineering talent is at an all-time high.&#8221;

Last month, the company rebranded its division, previously known as ‘BlackBerry IoT,' renamed it ‘QNX', and relaunched the brand to strengthen its presence in the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/01/42769289/why-blackberry-stock-is-gaining-today" rel="noreferrer noopener">automotive and&nbsp;embedded industries</a>.
