When investors look for long-term bullish S&amp;P 500 signals, they look at:
U.S CPI
U.S. interest rates
U.S. M2 supply (relatively liquid assets in the U.S economy)
This is a mistake.
Although these metrics matter, there's something we commonly forget.
Unlike most countries, the U.S. stock market is global.
German citizens rarely invest in Japanese stocks.
But many will invest in Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft, etc.
When central banks print money, it enters the economy of that respective country.
A portion of that money goes to citizens who buy food, shelter, clothing, etc.
However, some of them will invest their cash into assets.
A sizable portion specifically goes into the S&amp;P or S&amp;P-included companies.
That's why, if you're investing in the S&amp;P, you can't just focus on U.S. liquidity.
You need to focus on global liquidity instead.
The problem is global liquidity is hard to measure.
Combining M2 and interest rate data from the world's central banks isn't easy.
That's why financial data platforms like Ycharts and TradingView don't have a global liquidity metric.
This is why investors typically track GL from the 5 biggest central banks.
Specifically the:
Bank of Japan
Federal Reserve
Bank of England
European Central Bank
People's Bank of China
These are the most important central banks in the world, and tracking their efforts isn't difficult.
This is where most investors go wrong, when they exclusively track the Fed's monetary policies to predict the S&amp;P's long-term outlook.
But the S&amp;P receives inflows from across the globe.
That's why the decisions of the BoJ, BoE, ECB, and PBoC collectively matter more than the Federal Reserve alone.
Thanks to the U.S. stock market&#8217;s global status, global liquidity is highly correlated.
Popular U.S. stock indexes like the NASDAQ, for example, have a 95% correlation.
Whereas the S&amp;P has an ~85% correlation.
This chart speaks volumes.

Particularly when there's particularly bullish news and the market gets excited.
Trump's election victory was a great example of this.
Politics aside, Trump has always been bullish for stocks.
The same can be said about bearish black swan events.
2008, the initial COVID scare, Yen carry trade, Deepseek, etc.
Bullish and bearish signals decouple the market from global liquidity.
But it always realigns.
It's important to remember that there's a delay between global liquidity and the stock market.
It takes time for liquidity to flow into assets and inflate prices.
Liquidity → stocks – fewer shares → lower supply → prices rise
What's the moral of the story?
Don't just analyze U.S. monetary policies.
Monitor the policies of the biggest central banks in the world.
With a delay, you can reliably predict the movements of major U.S. indexes.

What Happened: On Tuesday, Trump said he plans <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/02/43805852/trump-shakes-global-trade-with-25-auto-chip-and-pharma-tariffs-announcement-asian-stocks-pare-their-five-day-rally">to place tariffs </a>on several sectors, including automotive, semiconductors and pharmaceuticals.
Trump said automotive tariffs would come "in the neighborhood of 25%." A report said the tariffs could come as early as April 2.
Semiconductor and pharmaceutical tariffs would also come around the 25% level and could increase throughout 2025. No date for these tariffs has been announced or planned by Trump and the White House administration.

George Soros Makes Fresh Bets On Alphabet, Small Caps: What About SPY Puts And Alibaba?

On Wednesday, Precision BioSciences, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DTIL#NASDAQ">DTIL</a>) revealed initial results from the first administration of PBGENE-HBV in cohort 1, the lowest dose level <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/02/b43808780/precision-biosciences-announces-initial-safety-and-antiviral-activity-of-pbgene-hbv-in-the-elimina" rel="noreferrer noopener">of the ELIMINATE-B trial</a>.
The ELIMINATE-B trial is designed to investigate PBGENE-HBV at multiple ascending dose levels with three dose administrations per dose level in chronic Hepatitis B patients who are HBeAg-negative.

PBGENE-HBV, which comprises an ARCUS-encoding mRNA encapsulated in a lipid nanoparticle (LNP), was safe and well tolerated in all three cohort 1 participants after the first administration of a 0.2 mg/kg dose. The planned dosing schedule in ELIMINATE-B allows for two additional administrations at this dose level while simultaneously investigating the next higher dose level.
Across the three participants dosed, none experienced a Grade ≥2 treatment-related adverse event or serious adverse event.
In addition to safety, PBGENE-HBV demonstrated a substantial reduction in Hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) in two of the three participants following the first administration at dose level 1.
With a well-tolerated safety profile and early antiviral activity established at pre-specified time points, Precision will complete subsequent administrations in all cohort 1 patients.
The ELIMINATE-B study is currently enrolling HBeAg-negative chronic Hepatitis B patients at sites in Moldova, Hong Kong, and New Zealand.
The company is on schedule to provide additional administrations at this dose level and subsequently plans to escalate to higher dose levels to define the optimal dose and number of dose administrations for safely eliminating covalently closed circular DNA (cccDNA)&nbsp;and inactivating integrated HBV DNA.
Precision plans to share detailed clinical data throughout 2025. HC Wainwright analyst Patrick Trucchio reiterates Precision BioSciences with a Buy and maintains a $60 price target.

What's Going On With BlackRock Stock Today?

On Wednesday, Harmony Biosciences Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/HRMY#NASDAQ">HRMY</a>) received a Refusal to File (RTF) letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for pitolisant for excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) in adult patients <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/02/b43810390/harmony-biosciences-provides-update-on-the-status-of-the-supplemental-new-drug-application-for-pit" rel="noreferrer noopener">with idiopathic hypersomnia (IH)</a>.
Harmony&#8217;s 2025 net revenue guidance of $820 million-$860 million remains unchanged.

Although the primary outcome for excessive daytime sleepiness (EDS) between pitolisant and placebo did not reach statistical significance in the randomized withdrawal phase of the Phase 3 INTUNE Study, the data from the open-label phase showed that patients experienced improvements on the Epworth Sleepiness Scale that were five times greater than what is recognized as clinically meaningful.
Furthermore, most patients in the long-term extension study achieved normal levels of wakefulness and sustained this response beyond one year.
Pitolisant is marketed as Wakix&nbsp;in the U.S. for EDS or cataplexy in adult patients with narcolepsy and for EDS in pediatric patients 6 years of age and older with narcolepsy.&nbsp;It is not currently approved for IH.
In January, the company reported preliminary net product revenue for the fourth quarter of approximately $201 million, compared to $168.4 million a year ago and the <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/calendars/earnings" rel="noreferrer noopener">consensus of $198.6 million</a>.
The average number of patients on Wakix increased by approximately 300 sequentially to approximately 7,100 for the quarter <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/pressreleases/25/01/b42942961/harmony-biosciences-reports-strong-2024-revenues-provides-2025-revenue-guidance-and-highlights-key" rel="noreferrer noopener">ended December 31, 2024</a>.
Needham analyst Ami Fadia maintains Harmony Biosciences with a Buy and lowers the price <a target="_blank" href="https://www.benzinga.com/quote/HRMY/analyst-ratings" rel="noreferrer noopener">target from $52 to $50</a>.
