Fox Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FOX#NASDAQ">FOX</a>)(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FOXA#NASDAQ">FOXA</a>) could get a big win with Super Bowl LIX with record viewership. Last year's record-breaking Super Bowl along with a key Super Bowl LVII rematch of the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/entertainment/24/05/38625265/heres-how-much-a-super-bowl-lix-commercial-will-cost-how-fox-corporation-stock-could-benefi"> could help boost advertising rates.</a>
What Happened: The Chiefs helped Paramount Global set a record for <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/sports/25/01/43317260/kansas-city-chiefs-help-cbs-break-afc-championship-record-will-super-bowl-viewership-hit-new-highs">AFC Championship viewership </a>along with several other records set in the 2024 season for Amazon and Netflix.
The NFL team could bring Fox record Super Bowl viewership and record prices for Super Bowl commercials.
After initially charging $7 million for 30-second commercials, Fox has been able to price some additional Super Bowl commercials at $8 million each, as <a href="https://variety.com/2025/tv/news/fox-super-bowl-commercials-8-million-1236289382/">reported </a>by Variety.
Sources said Fox sold at least 10 commercials at this record-breaking Super Bowl commercial rate. &nbsp;
Fox Sports Executive Vice President of Sales Mark Evans called the Super Bowl "the only place where you can aggregate legitimate scale with one commercial."
"It's not like any other thing," Evans said.
Fox sold the majority of its Super Bowl ad inventory before September but saw increased demand after it sold out completely.
State Farm and other advertisers<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/sports/25/01/43039778/state-farm-pulls-super-bowl-ad-appletv-campaign-after-california-fires-to-focus-on-safety-of-our-customers"> pulled out</a> from their Super Bowl commercials, which opened up ad spaces for Fox. The media company was able to sell the ads for higher rates.
With Super Bowl LIX commercial space limited, the ad rates for slots during the pre-game coverage have also gotten more expensive with some 30-second spots going for $4 million, double the normal $2 million rate. Post-game ads from Fox are being sold for $4 million, compared to $2.5 million to $3 million in past years.
Fox is also adding potential ad sponsors to its list of potential "floating" breaks that happen when a player is injured or a time out is called. These are not guaranteed, but it is a way for Fox and the NFL, who splits revenue on these ads, to generate additional revenue. There is also the potential of the game going to overtime, like last year's Super Bowl, that would allow for more ad inventory to be shown.

Why It's Important: Fox generated $600 million in advertising revenue from its last Super Bowl in 2023.
The media company gets another Super Bowl two years later and a chance to continue to cash in on the strong demand for <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/analyst-ratings/analyst-color/24/09/41034849/fox-stock-thrives-on-sports-politics-strategy-analyst-says-it-will-weather-secular-">sports and political content</a> over the past 12 months.
The Chiefs are seeking a three-peat and to become the first NFL team to win back-to-back-to-back Super Bowls. While some NFL fans are tired of watching the Chiefs' success in the postseason, the team dominated viewership in the 2024 NFL season including the recent record set for the AFC Championship game.
Last year's Super Bowl (Super Bowl LVIII) featured the Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers. The game set Super Bowl records for viewership with an average of 123 million viewers. A total of 202.4 million people watched at least part of Super Bowl LVIII.
With a marquee matchup between the Chiefs and Eagles, Fox could see viewership records broken or at least come close to last year's Super Bowl.
No matter what the viewership figures are, Fox is set to enjoy a windfall of revenue from its record-breaking Super Bowl commercial rates.

The AFC Championship game featuring the Chiefs and Buffalo Bills was watched by nearly 58 million people, setting a record for the AFC Championship, as reported by <a href="https://deadline.com/2025/01/afc-nfc-championship-ratings-2025-chiefs-eagles-1236270977/">Deadline</a>. The game had around two million more viewers than last year's AFC Championship game, which was the previous record holder.
The Chiefs and Bills game was the second of the two conference championship games that aired on Sunday. Kansas City Chiefs Help CBS Break AFC Championship Record — Will Super Bowl Viewership Hit New Highs?

Netflix Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NFLX#NASDAQ">NFLX</a>) stock hit all-time highs Wednesday on the heels of a quarterly financial report that beat analyst estimates and saw<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/25/01/43114866/netflix-q4-earnings-record-subscribers-nfl-squid-game-push-past-highest-expectations"> record subscriber growth.</a>
With the stock price gains, Netflix is now worth more than the media companies that own the four U.S. broadcast networks and several other streaming companies combined.
What Happened: Netflix reported 18.9 million net new paid subscribers in the fourth quarter, setting a new company record. The company ended the quarter with 301.6 million global paid subscribers, continuing its dominance in<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/streaming"> the streaming sector.</a>
Along with dominating the streaming sector, Netflix is also dominating the overall entertainment sector taking time away from traditional broadcasters and cable networks.

YouTube's December market share hit a company record 11.1% in December. Netflix tied its company record with an 8.5% market share in December.
Streaming hit a market share of 43.3%, up 9% from November. Broadcast television had market share of 22.4%, cable television had market share of 23.8% and other options came in at 10.6%, according to the report.
Netflix highlighted its strong lineup of content in the fourth quarter helping subscriber growth. That lineup included NFL games on Christmas, a second season of "Squid Game" and a record-breaking boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.
The streaming company highlighted its 2025 content slate including new seasons of "Squid Game," "Stranger Things" and "Wednesday." The company will also have several live streamed events again including at least one NFL game on Christmas along with its WWE partnership that kicked off in January.
Netflix's commanding market share and encroachment into traditional media has been going on for years and could continue well into the future.
NFLX Price Action: Netflix stock is up 10% to $959.38 on Wednesday versus a 52-week trading range of $481.40 to $999.00. The stock hit new all-time highs on Wednesday and shares traded over $1,000 in the premarket session. Netflix stock is now up 98% over the last year.

Millions of people tuned into media coverage of Donald Trump's inauguration on Monday, Jan. 20, which came with the stock market also being closed and some people having the day off in observance of <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/government/regulations/25/01/43085323/trump-sworn-in-as-47th-president-declares-golden-age-of-america-begins-right-now">Martin Luther King Jr. Day.</a>
Here's a look at how many people watched the inauguration and how it compares to the last two presidential inaugurations.
What Happened: While <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/etfs/broad-u-s-equity-etfs/25/01/43085491/where-will-sp-500-open-after-trumps-inauguration-39-pick-this-range">investors are enthusiastic</a> about the potential stock market returns under Trump's new term in the White House, some may have skipped watching the inauguration.
The 2024 presidential election was watched by an average of 24.59 million viewers according to Nielsen data, as <a href="https://deadline.com/2025/01/trump-inauguration-ratings-1236262953/">reported </a>by Deadline.
Among the viewership totals, 17.4 million were aged 55 and older, 4.67 million were aged 35-54 and 1.43 million were aged 18-34.
Former President Joe Biden's inauguration in 2021 was watched by an average of 33.76 million viewers. Trump's first inauguration in 2017 was watched by an average of 30.64 million viewers.
The 2024 inauguration saw significantly lower viewership compared to the past two events.
The 12 p.m. ET to 12:45 p.m. ET swearing-in ceremony and inaugural address of Trump on Monday saw 27.12 million viewers, which was also down from around 40 million for 2021 and 38.3 million for the same portion of the past two inaugurations.

Deadline noted that the viewership by network could be the result of partisanship. Fox News, which is Republican-leaning, had the lowest viewership of major networks for Biden's inauguration in 2021.
Trump's second inauguration also followed a trend of presidents having lower viewership the second time they are sworn into office. President Barack Obama had 37.8 million viewers for his inauguration in 2009 and saw only 20.6 million viewers for his second ceremony in 2013.

What Happened: Anyone who has watched NFL games over the past several years is likely familiar with<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/sports/24/02/37076429/super-bowl-commercials-2024-complete-list-of-super-bowl-lviii-ads-and-companies-behind-them"> State Farm commercials</a>, which have featured NFL players, coaches and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger.
While State Farm had an ad in last year's Super Bowl, the insurance company will sit out Super Bowl LIX, choosing to focus on the restoration of areas in California hit hardest by wildfires instead, as reported by <a href="https://deadline.com/2025/01/state-farm-la-wildfires-super-bowl-ad-delays-severance-tie-in-spots-1236258064/">Deadline</a>.
Wildfires in California have left at least 25 people dead and more than 12,000 structures destroyed.
State Farm, California&#8217;s largest insurer, is expected to account for a portion of the estimated $15 billion to $40 billion in insured losses, according to the report.
"Our number one priority right now is the safety of our customers, agents and employees impacted by the fires and assisting our customers in the midst of this tragedy," State Farm said in a statement.
State Farm has also paused production of a series of advertisement tie-ins featuring characters from "Severance," a series on Apple Inc's (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AAPL#NASDAQ">AAPL</a>) AppleTV+. Why It's Important: Fox Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FOX#NASDAQ">FOX</a>) (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FOXA#NASDAQ">FOXA</a>) will broadcast Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9, 2025, seeking a reported minimum of $7 million per 30-second spot, an increase from last year's range of $6.5 million to $7 million per ad.
Spending that much on a Super Bowl commercial as thousands of State Farm customers in California had home damage or had to evacuate the area likely wouldn't have sat well with Super Bowl viewers.
As Deadline points out, social media couldn't help but notice that the NFL Playoffs game between the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings was<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/sports/25/01/42963718/beyonce-pledges-25-million-to-help-california-wildfire-relief-efforts-nfl-donates-5-million-moves-mondays-playoff-game-to-arizona"> moved out of California</a> to take place in Arizona at State Farm Stadium.
State Farm has faced scrutiny with reports that the company discontinued coverage of homes in California due to the rising risks of fires and other natural disasters.
The company recently said this is the largest fire event it has experienced in California and called itself the largest insurer by number of customers in the state.
"The California market is complex, we remain engaged with state officials to improve the long-term sustainability of insurance for residents. We're here to ensure that there's a sustainable market in California, so we can continue to serve California as we have for almost 100 years," the company <a href="https://newsroom.statefarm.com/state-farm-is-here-to-help-california-customers-impacted-by-wildfires/">said</a>.
State Farm received praise for last year's Super Bowl ad, which starred Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito. The ad was ranked first in the USA Today AdMeter viewer survey.
While State Farm won't be running Super Bowl ads this year, the company may receive some positive press and goodwill for saving the $7 million and focusing on <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/01/42899028/la-wildfire-damages-estimated-above-52-billion-california-property-insurance-crisis">its California customers</a> during the tough time.
Sources told Deadline no other insurance companies have considered pulling out of Super Bowl ads at this time.

State Farm Pulls Super Bowl Ad, AppleTV+ Campaign After California Fires To Focus On 'Safety Of Our Customers'

Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>) scored big with its first NFL Playoffs exclusive stream, airing the recent Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens matchups during the<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/sports/25/01/42829221/how-to-watch-nfl-playoffs-super-bowl-lix-betting-odds-will-history-be-made-by-chiefs-or-lions"> first week of the postseason.</a>
What Happened: Amazon set a new <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/streaming">Prime Video</a> NFL record with an average of 22.07 million viewers during the Steelers and Ravens matchup, which the Ravens won 28-14 and advanced.
The record tops the 17.92 million Amazon's Prime Video had for a regular season game between the Detroit Lions and Green Bay Packers earlier this season. That match was the most streamed game during the season, before Netflix Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/NFLX#NASDAQ">NFLX</a>) set the 2024 NFL streaming record<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/sports/24/12/42711504/lebron-james-vs-nfl-nba-star-says-christmas-is-our-day-2024-ratings-paint-a-different-picture"> on Christmas Day.</a>
Amazon has the rights to "Thursday Night Football" games and has regularly shared that the NFL games have provided a boost to Prime subscribers and also helped with advertising revenue.
The NFL Playoffs game sets a new bar for Amazon in its sports streams and the NFL partnership, as <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/nfl-wild-card-2025-tv-ratings-prime-video-fox-1236108797/">reported </a>by The Hollywood Reporter. While the viewership was high and the game hit a peak of 24.66 million viewers during the game, the viewership trails several other media companies in their NFL coverage.
This is the second straight year the NFL has featured a NFL Playoffs game exclusive to a streaming platform. Last year, Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CMCSA#NASDAQ">CMCSA</a>) streamed a NFL Playoffs game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins on Peacock.
That game had average viewership of 22.86 million, which ranks ahead of Amazon's game this season.
Also ranking ahead of Amazon are both Christmas Day games that streamed on Netflix with average viewership of 24.1 million and 24.3 million.

Why It's Important: Amazon's NFL Playoffs match was also the least watched of the first weekend of games.
Fox Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FOX#NASDAQ">FOX</a>) (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FOXA#NASDAQ">FOXA</a>) had average viewership of 35.89 million for the Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers game on Fox. Comcast had a viewership of 29 million for the Washington Commanders and Tampa Bay Buccaneers game. These games had viewership down 11% and 19% year-over-year respectively from last year.
CBS, which is a unit of Paramount Global (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PARA#NASDAQ">PARA</a>) (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/PARAA#NASDAQ">PARAA</a>), had two games over the first weekend with average viewership of 26.6 million for the Los Angeles Chargers and Houston Texans game and average viewership of 31.2 million for the Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos game. These games saw an increase in viewership compared to last year.
Monday's contents between the Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings, which aired on Walt Disney Company (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DIS#NYSE">DIS</a>) units ABC, ESPN and ESPN2, had average viewership of 25.34 million, down 13% from last year's opening weekend Monday night game.
Four games will be played in the second weekend of the NFL Playoffs with Disney, Fox, Comcast and Paramount each having one contest.
Amazon's Playoffs game could serve as a continued test of how streaming viewership matches up against broadcast channels. This year's playoffs showed that so far more viewers watched on broadcast than on streaming.
The fact that Amazon's Playoffs game also fell shy of Netflix's Christmas Day viewership for NFL games could also prove costly if the two streaming platforms go head-to-head on sports rights in the future.
Amazon had a successful season of NFL viewership in 2024, with an average of 13.2 million viewers for its "Thursday Night Football" games, up 11% year-over-year, as <a href="https://frontofficesports.com/amazons-nfl-ratings-rose-13-in-2024-a-playoff-game-is-next/">reported </a>by FrontOfficeSports.
The company also streamed a second annual Black Friday game on Prime Video. When that game is counted into the games, Amazon's 2024 NFL viewership averaged 13.5 million viewers and was up 13% year-over-year.
Amazon has come a long ways from the 9.58 million average viewers it had for "Thursday Night Football" games in 2022.

Many Americans likely tuned into the first round of the 2024 NFL Playoffs over the weekend with teams fighting for a chance to advance to <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/nfl">Super Bowl LIX.</a>
One game featured a rather unique sideline sighting that could help a self-help author far beyond belief.
What Happened: The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers 22-10 Sunday night in a<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/sports/25/01/42829221/how-to-watch-nfl-playoffs-super-bowl-lix-betting-odds-will-history-be-made-by-chiefs-or-lions"> game shown on FOX</a>, a unit of FOX Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FOX#NASDAQ">FOX</a>)(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FOXA#NASDAQ">FOXA</a>).
The win gets the Eagles closer to Super Bowl LIX and wide receiver A.J. Brown closer to another chance at winning the Lombardi Trophy.
In six seasons with the Tennessee Titans and Eagles, Brown has nine playoff appearances, including three in 2022 where the Eagles lost Super Bowl LVII to the Kansas City Chiefs 35 to 38. In that Super Bowl, Brown had six catches for 96 yards and a touchdown.
Brown didn't have the normal strong stats Sunday against the Packers, posting only one catch for 10 yards on three targets, but he quickly became one of the most talked about players during and after the game.
Fox cameras caught Brown reading a book on the sideline, which later turned out to be self-help book, "Inner Excellence," from performance coach Jim Murphy.
"Discover the life guide that has developed world champions, empowered athletes to become world #1 and most importantly, transformed their hearts and minds. This step-by-step training manual from one of the world's top mental skills coaches will teach you how to train your mind like the very best," a description of the book on Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/AMZN#NASDAQ">AMZN</a>) <a href="https://www.amazon.com/INNER-EXCELLENCE-Extraordinary-Performance-Possible/dp/1734654805?tag=googhydr-20&amp;source=dsa&amp;hvcampaign=books&amp;gclid=Cj0KCQiAkJO8BhCGARIsAMkswyjiuw6_zmBe-nFjIGhq2Rw4DXj1jVfgmdsmw1vMVJlqeJ_PiOnHsNAaAjElEALw_wcB">reads</a>.
The book, with the subtitle of "Train Your Mind for Extraordinary Performance and the Best Possible Life," hit number one on Amazon Monday as the top-selling book, as <a href="https://www.sportico.com/personalities/athletes/2025/aj-brown-book-reading-inner-excellence-sales-philadelphia-1234823669/">reported </a>by Sportico.
Before Monday, the book was ranked #552,709, the report said.
Seeing Brown read the book on the sideline led to huge interest in the book on Amazon. Murphy, who has coached athletes and leaders, including Olympic athletes, may want to send a thank you note Brown's way.

Brown was asked about the viral moment after Sunday's victory.
"My teammates call it ‘the recipe,'" Brown said. "It's got a lot of points in there, it's a lot of mental game, a lot of mental parts about it, and you know for me this game is mental."
Brown said a teammate recommended the book to him last year and he now carries it on the sideline and looks back at points from the book during games.
The Eagles wide receiver <a href="https://x.com/ZachGelb/status/1878611786213269543">told </a>reporters he wasn't reading the book due to the outcome of the game or his individual performance.
"No, I was not frustrated at all. I figured that's what y'all probably thought. I wasn't frustrated. Why do y'all think I'm frustrated? I read the book. I like to read."
Brown was open about his mental health in 2021, sharing that he previously spoke to a therapist and telling people that it&#8217;s okay to seek help and talk to someone.

What's Next: Brown and his teammates may want to read the book and keep looking at how they can perform best in the 2024 NFL Playoffs.
The Eagles will play the winner of Monday's Los Angeles Rams and Minnesota Vikings contest in the second round of the playoffs. That game is set for 7 p.m. ET on NBC, a unit of Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/CMCSA#NASDAQ">CMCSA</a>).
Brown and his sideline reading material will likely be a subject discussed during the game and cameras may be set on the wide receiver to catch him reading once again.
The Eagles have odds of +450 to win Super Bowl LIX at sportsbook DraftKings Inc (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DKNG#NASDAQ">DKNG</a>), ranking third behind the Detroit Lions (+285) and Kansas City Chiefs (+350).

NFL Star Helps Self-Help Book Hit #1 On Amazon: 'My Teammates Call It The Recipe'

Fubotv Inc (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FUBO#NYSE">FUBO</a>) can enjoy cost savings, eliminate litigation overhang and have better scale after signing a deal with Walt Disney Co (NYSE:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/DIS#NYSE">DIS</a>) <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/25/01/42816545/fubotv-and-disney-near-merger-to-create-second-largest-digital-tv-provider-shares-soar-report">earlier this week.</a>
Fubo Impact: Roth MKM analyst Darren Aftahi calls the Disney tie-up a potential "fairy tale outcome" for Fubo that could help the company benefit in<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/topic/streaming"> the streaming space.</a>
The analyst reiterated a Neutral rating on Fubo and raised the price target from $2 to $4.75.
Aftahi said the deal, which will see Disney own 70% of the combined company with FuboTV and Hulu+LiveTV, is expected to close in 12 to 18 months.
"The combined company would feature enhanced economies of scale and content flexibility, removing much of the risk around FUBO, including litigation," Aftahi said.
The analyst said the combined new company will have around 6.2 million subscribers, with 1.6 million from Fubo.
Revenue growth could be around 10% for the combined company with revenue of $6.5 billion to $7 billion in 2026, the analyst said.
Fubo and Disney combining assets could result in cost savings and better opportunities for Fubo to offer bundling options to consumers, Aftahi said. This includes Fubo having access to Disney and Fox content outside of the Hulu+LiveTV bundle.
"The potential deal would make FUBO one of the largest vMVPD operators and remove many of the risks that have been an overhang on shares."
Aftahi said advertising is the "Achilles heel" for Fubo, an area that could benefit from Hulu's impact.
"The economies of scale and enhanced negotiating leverage likely offer the biggest benefit to FUBO, alongside the cash infusion."
As part of the deal, Disney, Warner Bros. Discovery (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/WBD#NASDAQ">WBD</a>) and Fox Corporation (NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FOX#NASDAQ">FOX</a>)(NASDAQ:<a class="ticker" href="https://www.benzinga.com/stock/FOXA#NASDAQ">FOXA</a>) will contribute $220 million upfront to settle litigation.
The three media companies have a pending sports streaming platform Venu Sports, which Fubo sued to block from launching.
Aftahi keeps the Neutral rating due to needing more updates on how organic subscriber growth will look under the new business model.

Disney Impact: On the other side of the deal, Macquarie analyst Tim Nollen says the tie-up creates more options for Disney, but won't move the needle much financially.
"For Disney, the combined company takes away the responsibility of managing Hulu + LiveTV, while incorporating more revenue — at a low earnings profile compared with Disney overall, but perhaps better than Hulu + LiveTV stand-alone," Nollen said.
The analyst maintained a Neutral rating on Disney with a $110 price target.
Nollen said the tie-up gives Disney three options to stream sports. Fubo will create a new Disney sports and broadcasting package, Disney will likely launch the Venu sports platform with litigation settled and Disney is expected to launch its ESPN flagship DTC platform in August.
"In a TV landscape where streaming is rapidly replacing pay TV, and more live sporting events are appearing on streaming services like Netflix, Disney is ensuring it has its bases covered with broader reach for ESPN in the future."
Nollen said the Fubo deal is good news for Disney and the streaming industry. &nbsp;
FUBO Price Action: Fubotv stock is up 6.32% to $5.38 on Tuesday versus a 52-week trading range of $1.10 to $6.45. Fubo stock is up over 300% on the week.

Paramount lands two games over the opening weekend and could be among the winners for the media partners. Amazon has its first NFL Playoffs game and could continue the debate on streaming exclusive games versus traditional broadcasts in sports.
Among the first-round games, the Chargers and Vikings are the only away teams favored at the sportsbooks.
The second-round games will be played on Jan. 18 and Jan. 19 with the media partners to be announced. The conference championship games will be played on Jan. 20 with FOX having the rights to the NFC game and CBS having the rights to the AFC game.
Super Bowl LIX will air at 6:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 9 on FOX, with the media company <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/entertainment/24/05/38625265/heres-how-much-a-super-bowl-lix-commercial-will-cost-how-fox-corporation-stock-could-benefi">commanding around $7 million</a> for each 30-second commercial for this year's big game.

The San Francisco 49ers were the betting favorite at +550 back in February followed closely by the Chiefs. Now the Lions and Chiefs stand ahead of the other teams for odds thanks to their top seeding and home field advantages.
A win by the Chiefs would make them the first team to win three straight Super Bowls. In fact, no NFL team has ever won two Super Bowls and then appeared in a Super Bowl the next season.
For the Lions, the team will be seeking their first ever Super Bowl appearance. The Lions are <a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/sports-betting/24/09/40720484/which-4-teams-have-never-reached-the-super-bowl-betting-payouts-if-history-is-made-in-2024">one of four teams</a> who have never been to a Super Bowl, a feat that the Texans could also cross off their list if they make the big game.
The Bills and Vikings could also get over the unfortunate record of going 0-4 in Super Bowls and not having a win. The Chargers have also never won a Super Bowl, losing their only appearance in the 1994 NFL season.
Another Super Bowl first to watch could be rookie quarterbacks. The 2024 NFL Draft<a href="https://www.benzinga.com/general/sports-betting/24/04/38501129/2024-nfl-draft-recap-quarterbacks-wide-receivers-detroit-set-records-who-will-win-rookie-o"> saw six quarterbacks </a>taken in the first round, tying an NFL record. Among them, Jayden Daniels (#2 overall, Commanders) and Bo Nix (#12 overall, Broncos) will be attempting to be the first rookie starting quarterbacks to appear in a Super Bowl.
