Bed Bath & Beyond was just upgraded by S&P Ratings Services following better-than-expected fiscal first-quarter results, driven by sales growth and higher margins. The Union, New Jersey-based company has a $14.8 billion market cap and is the largest domestics superstore retailer in the United States, with more than 950 stores in North America. The company's P/E ratio of 18.1 is less than the industry average, and the long-term EPS growth forecast is 14.3%. It has a return on equity of 20.3%. The share price has risen nearly 21% year to date. In that time, the stock has outperformed competitors Target TGT and Walmart WMT, as well as the broader markets.
