Valmont Shares Rise In Pre-Market On Upbeat Q2 Results

Shares of Valmont Industries Inc

gained in pre-market trading after the company reported upbeat second quarter results and lifted its full-year earnings forecast. VMI reported its quarterly net income at $45.8 million, or $1.72 per share, up from $17.1 million, or $0.65 per share, in the year-ago period. Its revenue surged to $668.6 million, from $481.6 million. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $1.45 per share on revenue of $614.9 million. VMI shares rose 2.04% to $103.26 in pre-market trading.
