A Peek Into The Market Before The Trading Starts

Pre-open movers US stock futures are slightly higher this morning, ahead of economic data. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 7 points to 13,114.00 and S&P 500 index futures rose 1.70 points to 1,410.00. Nasdaq 100 futures gained 4.50 points to 2,787.25. A Peek Into Global Markets European markets were mostly lower today. The STOXX Europe 600 Index declined 0.45%, French CAC 40 index dropped 0.81%. London's FTSE 100 Index moved up 0.02% and German DAX 30 index fell 0.44%. Asian markets ended mixed, with Japan's Nikkei Stock Average dropping 0.57%, China's Shanghai Composite rising 0.85% and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 moving up 0.32%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 0.07% and India's Sensex fell 0.27%. Broker Recommendation Analysts at Atlantic Equities upgraded Eli Lilly & Co LLY from “underweight” to “overweight.” The target price for Eli Lilly is set to $49.
