Benzinga’s Top Pre-Market Gainers (SPRD, LLEN, ALTH, FEED, VVUS)

Spreadtrum Communications Inc SPRD soared 19.56% to $9.78 in the pre-market session. SPRD, which makes chips for wireless phones, posted profits for Q1, reversing its last year’s losses as revenue grew more than six-fold. L&L Energy Inc LLEN added 12.74% to $10.97 in pre-market trading. The US based coal company, LLEN, announced its positive forward-looking revenue and earnings guidance for the year ended April 30, 2011. Allos Therapeutics Inc ALTH climbed 7.33% to $7.76 in the pre-market session. The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted orphan drug designation to ALTH’s drug pralatrexate for the treatment of advanced or metastatic transitional cell carcinoma (TCC) of the urinary bladder, a form of bladder cancer. AgFeed Industries Inc FEED moved up 4.40% to $3.56 in pre-market trading. FEED is the leading hog producer in China which has a larger hog market than America.
